New Found Freedom!!

School is back in session!! Yay!! I love my son more than anything or anyone on this whole wide world, but I am so happy he is back in school.
My work hours have been cut, which I am more than happy about. I have only been working 10 to 15 hours per week. That leaves me with 3 whole days of Dalton at school and me with no work. 
Everyone is asking what I am going to do, go back to school? Start a business? For right now I think I will enjoy my time to myself. Cook more, read more, go for walks, and enjoy time with family and friends.
Tomorrow I am going to Auburn to take my grandmother out to lunch. Wednesday I am taking my other grandmother to her doctor appointment and then we will go to lunch after. I feel very fortunate to be able to have this time to myself. I plan to use it wisely. If there is something I intend to do, it will come to me. Right now I am just going to enjoy myself 💖

Online Dating

My husband died last year. April 1st 2017. Two months ago I felt I was ready to start dating again. I have a 4 yr old son who is attached to my hip. I live in my hometown which is very lovely and very small. There are not a lot of people my age that live here.
I decided to try online dating because why not? It's not like I can actually meet a real person in real life!
I signed up for Match.com and I paid for a 3 month subscription. I also signed up for OK Cupid and Plenty of Fish. I was looking for a relationship not just a hook up so I did not even attempt Tinder.
I have spoken with some guys who were not really my type. I spoke with guys that I thought were my type, but then they suddenly stopped talking to me. And just a couple I went on actual dates with. Although one person I went on 3 dates with,  I just felt I wasn't ready like I thought I was.
I am going to go back to being single and not dating. Maybe in a few months I will try again. My town is a lot busier in the summetime, maybe I will meet a real person 😆 I am also working at the racetrack on Saturday nights this summer doing food concession so there is a possibility as well.
I am pretty happy now, I was getting into a funk and that's why I tried online dating. We will see how the summer goes 🌞🌞

Spring Time in Fair Haven

So this is the first spring that I am living in Fair Haven! Of course it's cold and snowy. The coldest April in at least 30 years 😬 Dalton and I love it here though. The town is so pretty and the people are so nice and friendly. My family who I adore live here, also my best friend. Dalton is going to the same school I did.
I am waiting for it to get warmer so I can get some hanging baskets for the deck and also to put some potted plants out there as well. I have planted some lavender in a big pot and have been keeping it inside due to the weather. I know  I haven't planted it correctly and only have 4 little plants coming up out of about 100 seeds I put down. I am really looking forward to the warm weather so Dalton and I can walk and bike around town again. I am also looking forward to going sailing with Jacob around the bay.
Well, I haven't written anything in a long time so I thought I would put something down. I will check back in awhile, will see how many lavender plants I have by then 😊😊
